PuTTY Key Generator

Formerly known as PuTTYgen, now known as PuTTY Key Generator, is a tool that allows you to generate public and private SSH keys. Initially developed for the Windows operating system, PuTTY Key Generator, which can be used in frequently preferred operating systems such as macOS and Linux, is a component of the open source and free SSH client PuTTY software.

PuTTY Key Generator, which has a command line version on Linux, has a graphical interface on Windows systems. Unlike competing programs, you need to move the mouse until the process is completed in the key generation process in the software that aims to generate cryptographic key types, primarily RSA, DSA, ECDSA and Ed25519.

Thanks to PuTTY Key Generator, which supports the creation of private and public keys, you can generate keys of different lengths. Although the software keys that you can import and export key files are collected in .ppk files, which are their native format, you can also convert the keys to different file formats.

Thanks to the program that adds randomness to the key generation process, it creates strong keys against brute force and guesswork attacks. Thanks to PuTTY Key Generator, which supports secure data transmission, you can generate keys for some tasks such as file transfer and server management.
